SFCA aims at the endorsement of sustainable forest management and promotion of timber & wood product consumption as a renewable resource of raw material. Furthermore, it aims at the endorsement of nature conservation principles and sustainable development of the society as a whole.
Some 64% of the total forest area in Slovakia is PEFC certified.
